I cycled my first 50km yesterday!!
Absolutely beautiful day to be cycling along the coast.
Suffering a bit today as I haven’t been able to replace my bike seat and rode this on my uncomfortable one but I’m eager to get out an go for more longer rides like this!

I ended up doing a study of my new Jackdaw friend.
Unfortunately my photo wasn’t particularly clear so I found some references to use. My photo album is full of jackdaws now…
Rather than inking I might experiment with pastels to colour him.

In other news (that’s mostly just exciting for myself and other bird nerds).
I finally got a picture of the local Jackdaw that has Leucism. He hangs out at my bus stop, not the best picture but the little guy was digging for grubs and my paparazzi moment wasn’t going to intrude on that!

Little day trip to Salisbury yesterday. I joined the local ghosts for some light haunting.
The cathedral is absolutely stunning, I joined a wonderful walking tour and learnt so much. The interior is amazing, I was fascinated by the tombs in particular.
If you have the chance, I really recommend it!

Trying to do more studies of birds this year. Kicking things off with a Goldcrest, I saw one out on my run a little while ago and thought it was such a sweet (tiny!) bird.
I’m not 100% happy with the top left one and will likely re do it before I ink and add detail to the others.

I went to a screening of Nosferatu this evening! Throughly enjoyed it. The costumes were amazing, I adored Ellen’s brown stripe moire dress in particular.
I got dressed up to see it, jeans and a black top but vampire flavoured 🖤

Rice cakes with low-fat hummus, quorn spinach/pepper slice, tomato chutney and a bit of cheddar on top.
Two poached eggs on tomato chutney rice cakes as well.

We’ve had one visiting recently in the late evenings and I’m certain I’ve heard it’s call in the morning a few times too. I adore birds, they bring me so much joy!

We’ve had one visiting recently in the late evenings and I’m certain I’ve heard it’s call in the morning a few times too. I adore birds, they bring me so much joy!
