when i can barely hear the band's live performance on their real physical instruments i can't get as attached :(

i'm really contrasting this with watching the ggd's lives rn, where it's truly like i only hear the performers on stage and it feels like little else! i prefer that kind of music

i was raised on more straightforward band stuff with 2000s vkei that feels less produced so i guess i sought that kind of sound from a band drama but this is like Very Produced

i want to like sit here and accept the stylistic choices given the band's sound and image, i think i'm having just a bit of resistance to the fact that this is a drama about a band but a lot of the time, it's hard to even hear the guitar, or keys, from all the other sounds piled on top

sometimes the cinematography tips over into like... overdone in a pixar soft way though and i'm still trying to figure out how i feel about it because the exaggeration is a choice

it may suit tenblank's image being a poppy band

ok back to my complaints: they also make the band So Sweaty. as if being in a band means you don't get to use a towel lol it's really overdone for naoki specifically

all that said, i'm fully bought into the sho/naoki ship now and am using it as a template in my mindpalace for band au sherliam that i will be commissioning from cam once i pull my fragmented thoughts together
