Eating shit as a 30-something year old hits different. Literally. The aches reverberating throughout my upper body from desperately trying to catch my fall is somehow more embarrassing and painful than the fall itself.

It is so embarrassing to text your dentist at 9pm in a panic because you have a piece of chicken bone wedged tightly in between your teeth, and it was shifting your teeth so close together that you couldn’t fit floss in. He tells you he can fit an urgent appt in the morning.
