Watching these got me into thrifting but it’s been a long time since I’ve found anything cool and/or reasonably priced (also I have most of what I wanted). The last cool hint I bought thrifting was a Comptomerer from 1917-19 for $25.

Fun episode, but one they didn’t play in syndication often for some reason so I’ve only ever seen it a few times and only the uncut version once. I’ll give it a 4.5 from memory which is either to high or too low.

What timing, I actually just rewatched that episode last week! I will say the episode does have some issues in presenting the historical nazi regime that ends up echoing propaganda even while trying to say how bad it was.

I’ve always really liked this episode, I might just give it a 5. There was a time when they played season 4 and 5 episodes constantly in syndication so I saw this a ton in the early 90s.

While the algorithm is decent at being conversational, it soon becomes quite apparent that there is no actual intelligence behind it. I stopped playing with it when it created an image that was only slightly altered from someone’s actual creation, I guess AI too lazy to pretend not to steal now.

I really liked this and the next episode when I was 15… I think it’s been quite a long time since I’ve gone past episode one of DPF 3.

I haven’t watched it in a long time but from memory I’d say 4.5, always enjoyed this one. Actually, this one of a handful of episodes I recoded on audio cassette via tv speaker so I was very familiar with it.

Some of the movies you do I wish the recaps were longer as the movie is so enjoyable. I think the recap for this one was around 20 minutes and I wouldn’t have been disappointed if it had been around 5.

Can’t wait to see this one. The first time I saw it (a year after it aired during reruns) I was excited to see Riker and Troi and recreations of TNG sets. When I watched it years later after finally watching the whole series, well I wasn’t so happy.

Now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing that video though I forgot all about it. It’s been so long since I even thought about recording sports it didn’t even cross my mind though that was the killer feature for vhs vs beta originally.

Very true, it was pretty exciting when shows started having arcs and characters remembered what happened last episode. However in this streaming era you almost need a device like a vcr to record shows that might just vanish. We’ve almost come full circle!

It’s funny now to think that laserdiscs big drawback was you couldn’t record your shows using them. People in the late 70s were much more interested in recording off TV (ironically including editing movies with commercials) than pre recorded content. I have no interest in recording off TV today.

I charge once a week usually , even in the winter. I do also have a lower range car that takes two charges a week when it’s used.

Can’t wait to hear it! I often wonder if Hawkeye and Trapper hadn’t gotten Henry to come back when he was working in Tokyo what Henry’s life would have been like.

Can’t wait to hear the review! I just happened to have gotten the 4K Blu-ray and watched it for the first time in a long while so the timing is perfect.

I was way off on my guess! Based on the uniform I thought it would be someone who had to fix something. I wasn’t sure about the beanie though.
