This dataset is the source of the incredibly limited population-level data we have on trans youth.

I’ve used it, and studies based on it, in reporting and research dozens of times.

It contains extensive data on other public health topics.

This hampers public accountability reporting.
The CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey has monitored the wellbeing of America’s high school students since 1991.

Since 2015, it’s been a vital source of data on LGBQ youth. In 2023, it provided the first ever nationally representative sample of transgender teens.

As of this morning, it’s gone.

Halting federal grants and loans is insane, a blatant overreach of presidential power. One third of state revenue comes from federal grants. Everything except Medicare and Social Security is *a lot* of necessary things that keep people alive and our country afloat.
