That is appalling. I’m so sorry that your mum was party to that kind of treatment 😡 My dad is very hard of hearing, has limited mobility and would never have been able to deal with this himself. I feel terrible thinking there must be other elderly or disabled people out there in a similar position.

I’ve always previously been pro licence but after the aggressive email my 80 yr old father received this week telling him he hadn’t paid when in fact he had - it can quite frankly get gone. Livid doesn’t get anywhere near how angry I am about this. Took me 30 mins to speak to a human about it too!

People studying. Small children excited for story corner. Arts and crafts. People just sinking into a comfy chair and reading. The best vibes.

I just finished it this week. What a brilliant read. I’ve been reading up on the opioid epidemic now too. What a great idea to parallel the way Dickens’ highlighted child poverty through literature.

Gosh if only there had been a way to prevent this from happening
