CONSCIOUSNESS: it’s remarkable that science still has not found a predictable model for a phenomenon that is shared by every human being on the planet, and potentially all animals and plants too.

We believe there is a fundamental link between what we call life and consciousness. Certain configurations of the fields of matter could interact very strongly with the field of consciousness. These configurations are likely found in cells, and on a larger scale in animal brains.

Consciousness is everything that we are. Every experience, every second of your life, seems to “play out” like a movie in your head. Philosopher Daniel Dennett calls it to the “Cartesian Theatre.” Yet there is no known mechanism in physics to explain subjective experience.

It seems like there should be an interpretation of QM that is something like "Inverse Copenhagen" where collapse causes observation / consciousness rather than observation causing collapse. ORCH-OR is a specific example of this but is there a more general term? #quantum
