you can only send gifs through the gif button
you can attempt to upload a gif file, but it uploads an image of the first frame only
the "workaround" is by uploading it as an mp4 and having this setting toggled on so it'll loop every time the video ends, but it's client-sided :(

I searched it up online rn, apparently there's no gif support when you upload it yourself, it has to be from Tenor since it's integrated to bsky. Though at the same time, I could upload it as an mp4 and make sure I have this enabled and it'll technically work, only on my end lol

…it only saved as one frame. Which is weird since I also tried sending it to myself on discord and it animates fine on my end, until I re-open the app and it’s one frame again (it doesn’t even animate to who I sent it).
I’ll figure a workaround eventually… oh and .gif has a weird black outline >:(
