No better way to kick off my 48th trip around the sun than with a plate of pollos asados. 🎂

Grateful for the journey so far, and excited for another year of new opportunities and serving the city I love.

San Antonio and Arlington are the heart and soul of Texas truck manufacturing. As the President’s tariffs go into effect next week, Arlington’s Mayor Ross and I wrote to our Senators to urge them to help us protect the people of Texas’ truck manufacturing industry. Thousands of jobs are on the line.

FYI, San Antonio—We are closely monitoring potential exposure to measles in our community.

This serves as a strong reminder to encourage our friends and neighbors to stay up to date with their vaccinations. Please remain aware of any symptoms if you believe you may have been exposed.

Wishing the incomparable Allee Wallace a happy 90th birthday! Allee has been the photo historian of the largest MLK March in the country for nearly 40 years and I’ve been privileged to call him a friend.

Incredibly honored to walk arm in arm with Arndrea Waters King at the 38th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Celebration.

Despite freezing temps, San Antonio showed up and showed out to honor the enduring legacy of Dr. King and his vision of equality, justice, and unity.

SAT just got a major sustainability upgrade!⚡️ The city’s first high-speed EV charging station is now active.

The ABB E-mobility A400 fast charger will power up the airport’s fleet, supporting emissions reduction and cleaner air. A win for innovation, travelers, and the environment.

San Antonio has lost an irreplaceable thread in the fabric of our community.

Sovia “Spurs Lady” Lauriano embodied the heart and soul of our city, radiating love for San Antonio in everything she did.

Her presence brought joy to so many, and we will deeply miss her unwavering spirit.

There’s a great Netflix documentary called “Going Varsity” about the amazing Mariachi Extravaganza competition held in San Antonio each year. I met the filmmakers Sam and Alejandra tonight and presented them with the Emissary of the Muses - the highest honor our city gives to an artist.

The spirit of San Antonio is neighbors helping neighbors. That’s one legacy of Jaime P. Martinez during Thanksgiving in the Barrio, which the Cesar E. Chavez Legacy & Education Foundation kicked off this morning. Thank you, volunteers!
