That doesn't even account for the issue of supply

Without at least some equivalent to money, what's to stop some asshole from hording literally all the eggs, toasters, & USB-C cables in the world?

At least, without giving up all our privacy

Amazing in concept, but issue is, how do you convince people to work without the need for money? At least until robots eventually take all our jobs anyway

I'm not saying we *shouldn't* do it. I just wanted to state how it might not be the absolute foolproof "AI is dead forever!" proof that people want it to be. Especially once technology eventually gets to the point that we might not even need data centers to use it

The main thing people are concerned about when they say "it's already out of the bag" is bad actors. Even when we do eventually bully corps & the majority of governments out of using Gen AI/leaving it unregulated, what's to stop bad actors from just misusing it in secret?

Maybe Australia has a point?...

How does one even regulate/ban AI in todays age where bad actors can just continue misusing it in secret/on the dark web, & for that matter, where most corporations & large governments will defend it's unregulated use for the most random reasons possible all to biggen divide?

Or if they do want "close to photorealism", do what Sparking Zero or Sonic Frontiers do graphically. High detail, yet still somewhat stylized/cartoony, & can probably still run on a 950 with enough screwing around in the settings
