Why was this necessary? It wasn't, it's already illegal. I don't trust Texas legislators and felt like the language was vague on so many of the proposals. I voted against most of them.

It's worse than the Watergate tapes. Nixon's DOJ wouldn't do it and the Senate Republicans eventually went to Nixon and told him to resign. Those guardrails don't exist now. This is so much worse. Plus you knew SCOTUS wasn't in the bag for Nixon.

This area is prone to flash flooding. I've lived near this area. That said, could preventrative measures been put in place to help alert. No doubt. Should they? Absolutely Should they be allowed to build back so close to the river, no they shouldn't. But it's TX and developers get what they want.
