River says that sometimes you get shleepy at 8:30 and that that is perfectly fine. Also you can't be exposed to new existential horrors for that brief blissful time that you are not conscious. #dogsky #poodle #SD

Have a sleepy SD to watch over you and let you know when to sit/lie down and get chill. Also, she adores you. Her name is River after River Song.

I am NOT located in Mississippi, but when out earlier using Verizon mobile, I was locked out of my @support.bsky.team account. Had to get back to home WiFi to get on @bsky.app

In response to yet another post saying how the blue US states should just abandon everyone stuck in red states for the satisfaction of "thriving" while the red states "die." There are MILLIONS of people in red states who cannot move, and who are absolutely not MAGA or even Republicans.

2025 has been a tough year in terms of me finding books that really get to me on a deep emotional level, so I haven't posted a lot of #booksky stuff. But y'all... I just re-read DEATH OF THE AUTHOR by @nnedi.bsky.social IN ONE SITTING--same as the first time--and my God, it's a treasure. 📚♿🪐💙🌍

And then someone started up a lawnmower outside the window and broke the spell

We have two cats. Oliver(orange) is just a sweet simple cinnamon roll, and Pip (grey) is also sweet but at the same time diabolical. ONE of them has ZERO concept of personal space, be it with humans, dogs, or other cats. CAN YOU GUESS WHO? #caturday #catsky #catsnuggles

How to make a PURRITO: You only need one smol cat and a tortilla blanket... #caturday #catsky

Aww, what a sweet snapshot of one of our cats, Pip, napping--hold up, what's going on back there, OLIVER?!?

I wondered frequently when reading a certain book, if the author had experienced the Arkansas Black apple. It felt like what was being described in many cases, at least visually. It's an extremely firm, tart apple that stays good for months properly stored. Cross-pollinates with Granny Smith, too!

"And if her biting off a bunch of people's heads was how Homily learned her identity, it would probably stifle their relationship. Romance was awful. She couldn't even do anything as simple as murdering rude people anymore."
I am loving this book. Someone You Can Build a Nest In, John Wiswell 📚🌈💙🪐

Actual useful tip from past me that benefitted present me this week: Label even the things that you think are "obvious," because one day you will need something that looks verrrrry similar to something else...

Sure the world is falling into ashes, but while it lasts, Sonic has a new slush flavor, and it's "Strawberry Mangonada with Tajin" and I am here to tell you I would drink this until my body forcibly stopped me.

Someone asked to see a picture of my "hair cut," and they typed it in twice words like that, so I sent this pic of all my cut hairs.
March 4, 2025 at 11:49 PM
While I was getting my hair cut, River delicately and with extreme precision pulled the lid and straw off my Coke Zero and DRANK IT. Didn't touch Jaden's. #poodle #dogsky #shenanigans

I just finished the lyrical and lovingly crafted ADRIFT IN CURRENTS CLEAN AND CLEAR, by

I finally got through this one, after putting it down about 2/3 of the way through to read other stuff. I wanted to like it more than I actually did? It sort of meandered all over the place for a LONG time, then ended relatively abruptly. The Book of Love by Kelly Link. #booksky

River has correctly assessed the tire shop as extremely boring.

I have seen him in other stuff, and his eyes aren't like that. Something is off in the VFX in that trailer.

Pip is judging me for something, but idk what. He has been at this all morning. #catsky #cat 🐈‍⬛
January 21, 2025 at 4:16 PM
First of his titles that sorta clunked for me. I think it was the lengthy passages of ob/gyn-specific body horror & the extended graphic childbirth sections reading as torture. I feel like it hit sour notes as obviously man-authored? Not a clear winner for me personally. #booksky #horror #books 📚💙💀
