The response is a function of their customer base. Most users of browsers outside of Firefox either don't know what AI is or don't care.

Firefox users care and know hence the response.

It's a search engine. Use it as such. People not verifying their citations and actually reading through them is just lazy academia.

Every new technological boom has irrationality but it also has plenty of actually useful use cases. Out of all the AI slop companies I'd say Google is by far the most focused actually useful use cases. The nature of bubbles is moreso a critique of capitalism than the technology itself.
