I wish that all medical professionals in this country had the privilege to treat their patients how I am treated at Moffitt.

Medical care should *not* be a for-profit industry.

On Monday I met my new endocrinologist, who replaced my retired endocrinologist. I think he's younger than me and even though he met me at the healthiest I've seemed since starting at Moffitt - he was so kind, attentive, and empathetic.

all of the Moffitt professionals who I have seen since 2019 have always made me feel trusted and listened to. Only in one area did I not feel that way, and I have chosen to not go back to that part of Moffitt.

I am exceptionally grateful for the VHL Alliance and for Moffitt Cancer Center. The VHLA got me into Moffitt and helped to turn it into a CCC for VHL patients and, at Moffitt, I almost never feel like a burden or that I might be exaggerating about my condition -

I'm terrified, daily, that the wrong doctor will argue that I'm too well to justify my necessary medical scans.

I'm in the US, so, I'm actually always unwell because of the unpredictable and dangerous nature of my genetic mutation and the country's prioritization of commercial profit over actual health.
