Don't understand why you mentioned about Truth Social 🤷 Technically it's still Biden's term until 2025. The UK also, probably not as strong as Victorian era, while still isn't as weak as you elaborated. But anyway, I wish you luck as well.

UK has also been seeking trade deals with other markets, eg. Japan, Australia, etc.

In the current global political tension, that's a better way out to avoid relying too much on those violent, not so trustworthy countries.

Brexit's disastrous, but meh.

Speaking out doesn't always mean it'll be straight to a trade war. Even so when you say "EU" as a collective term, Germany solely is already contributing to 7% of the export market, while China's only 3.6%.

China definitely isn't my ally. I strongly stand with Taiwan.
China couldn't be trusted. The UK wants a strong business relationship with China, is betting long term economics at risk. Similar to Europeans relying on Russian's natural gas.
