I drew white lines over where topping has occurred.

Now that the tree is expending all of its energy to overcompensate for the loss of its crown (trees need to photosynthesize to eat! Can't do that without leaves!) won't be able to protect its from diseases, pests, & fungus. Which can then spread to surrounding trees 🙄 urban forests are so important

Basically, topping is guaranteed to fuck your tree. Unqualified ppl will hack away at the crown for cheap, but there's hidden costs. Turns the tree into a major hazard. Topping should be illegal!!!
