Take your time. A lot of us would much rather wait for something that's good than get something in a set time-frame that's a mess due to crunch. You clearly care about the quality of what you're making, and that's what really matters with projects like these.

That particular distro of Linux is actually pretty easy to set up and use, but I'll agree that it's still wildly inappropriate to just suggest switching operating systems out of the blue when all this person wants is log-in help. Especially someone that's using said computer for their livelihood.
