Not enough. Far too many Democratic politicians are just sitting their hands. Among some of the other good ideas in here, let's close loopholes that the oligarchs use. Ban the use of stocks and other volatile assets as collateral for loans

I've suspected for a while now that a lot of the democratic leaders are intentional controlled opposition squatting in positions of power to keep anyone interested in real change from being able to rise up.

I mean... they're not wrong.

Sure. The problem is when you murder the neighbors' kid after you infect them. If your making a conscious decision to not take precautions it's manslaught/murder.

Need to get it through their thick skulls that they DO NOT have a right to spread a disease to other people. They DO NOT have a right to spread it to other people's children. They DO NOT have a right to murder other people's children with deadly diseases.

Republicans have been lying about the economy and government assistance for 50 years. Their voters don't realize they're the ones being subsidized and what's being slashed in the budget is going to destroy them.

The people making the decisions are so disconnected from the day to day of interacting with the customers that some don't even know what the product is anymore. There's a dozen layers of management and abstraction. They're already dehumanizing them, fascism is just the next logical step.

Manufacturing consent. They know exactly what they are doing, and have no shame.

Sounds like EA's executives are just not living within their means, maybe they should cut back on the avocado toast and starbucks.
February 5, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Careful, talk like that might get you sent to the de-education camps.
February 2, 2025 at 6:39 AM
Most of them are just controlled opposition, and have been for a while. It's why they've spent the last 20 years suppressing progressives.

I used you, Dimension 20, and the Yogscast to seed my feed. Been pretty happy so far.

Don't tell me that. He's old, I'm not ready.
January 27, 2025 at 5:51 PM

None of us are. But we're the ones stuck trying. Who else is going to do it?
January 24, 2025 at 6:31 AM
That's because the Democratic establishment is basically controlled opposition taking money from the billionaires playing both sides.
January 23, 2025 at 9:46 AM
Do I have to pick just one?
January 23, 2025 at 3:07 AM
Valve and their SteamVR exist. Meta just dumped cash into developers pockets to ignore that.
January 11, 2025 at 6:43 AM
We're gonna bring that back too soon enough

Wtf is wrong with people

I had this happen in Deadlock a few nights ago. I hadn't played since it got releases I know I was doing poorly. I muted them right away but my friend kept trying to stand up for me. Eventually told him to just stop and mute them. People take shit way too seriously.

There's a reason I stick to talking to friends in Discord and mute everyone else.

Enshitifcation is not just for websites. Companies in every industry are cost cutting to pad profit margins and get away it because people still keep buying. Same reason behind things like shrinkflation.
December 20, 2024 at 6:31 AM
It is, it's set during an office Christmas party, and it's about two estranged spouses trying to come together for the holiday. They have to overcome many obstacles to reunite, including armed gunman trying to Grinch it up by robbing the vault. Minus the gunman, and it could be on Hallmark.

And just like with CFCs, leaded gasoline, radium, etc., the companies making them are going to lie through the fucking teeth denying that there's something wrong until it's too late.
December 16, 2024 at 1:32 PM
I'm not sure that's entirely true. A good example is CFCs, the spray cans worked just fine as far as most people were concerned. It wasn't immediately apparent that they were destroying the ozone layer, to the point some people probably still don't believe it. There's plenty of other examples too.
