😆 Tucker Carlson once called me a “highly self confident young woman” and meant it as an insult
“They are threatening us because we are a threat to them.”

A little snippet of my rallying cry to a gathering of fact checkers and researchers from Eastern Partnership countries in Chisinau, Moldova 🇲🇩

Happy Halloween 🎃 👻

No costume this year, but here are some pictures from some spooky shows I was in circa 2018-19

1️⃣ Morticia Addams in “The Addams Family”
2️⃣ The Witch in “Into the Woods,” pre transformation
3️⃣ The Witch post transformation. Yes, we got a Bernadette Peters wig and it ROCKED

Just this week, Jim Jordan demanded documents from Stanford University over discussions they held on trust and safety, claiming those are tantamount to censorship.

Lap dog Michael Shellenberger followed w/ breathless reporting about Jordan's threats, which screams "independent journalist," no? 3/

Mike Benz knows “censorship” as well as the fingers on his own hand 😂

Hey, thanks so much for this for this- Ben was getting a very generic screen on the interface that just said “these ads ran without a disclaimer”— see below—the filter you used was not present in his interface. I’m taking down these posts and we’re looking into it

Pretty sure this is equivalent to when Amazon tells you you’re a bestseller in a random niche category, but I’ll take it 💁🏻‍♀️

lollllll

Kennedy sued me based on a totally baseless accusation that I would be using the power of government to label Americans’ speech as disinformation. Now his agency is labeling reporters whose work he doesn’t like disinformation.

Accusation 🤝 projection

@matthewdgousc.bsky.social

This you bro? Or are you “too chicken” to reply? 🙄

Never fails that the men who accuse me of being “too scared to debate” are hiding behind pseudonyms while they spend their one wild and precious life trolling women online.

He was extremely influential and highly prominent in the conservative movement. Words do have meaning and the dictionary agrees with me.

He had a large following and a lot of influence. It was an assassination.

Proud to share this joint investigation between @benmshultz.com @americansunlight.org and @indicator.media's @mantzarlis.com.

We uncovered over 4000 ads for nudifying apps that violated Meta's terms and attempted to evade DSA enforcement.

Both of my books and several of my articles—a significant portion of my life's work—was stolen by companies that used LibGen to train their models.

I might get $6k from this class action suit *if I'm lucky.*

Authors aren't getting rich off these settlements!

72% of adults surveyed in 25 countries see the spread of false information online as a major threat. Meanwhile the US is harassing the researchers and civil servants who studied the challenge and attempting to export that harassment campaign to other countries. 🙃

Spent the next few years working on my first book, HOW TO LOSE THE INFORMATION WAR, at the (now defunct thanks to Trump, RIP) Wilson Center. HTLIW looks at Eastern Europe's approch to RU Disinfo. Also did a bunch of work on tech policy, including a study on gendered abuse and disinformation. 3/

The long version:
In college & grad school I studied Russia & Eastern Europe; worked on Russia and Belarus early in my career. When Ukraine was invaded the first time, wanted to get out in the field and make a difference. Did a Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship in Kyiv 2016-17. Changed my life. 2/

News of my fake arrest has led to new followers- welcome! TLDR: I research bad stuff on the internet. Cut my teeth as a Russia expert; that's how I fell into this work. Did a short stint in USG that led to an ongoing campaign of lies & harassment. Wrote 2 books. Lead @americansunlight.org. Mom. 1/

Apparently the "media outlet" that posted this story has raised over $350k on GiveSendGo for their completely fabricated engagement bait.

We @americansunlight.org are proud members of the Coalition for Independent Technology Research, because understanding the truth about how technology shapes our lives shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be a public right.

Unfortunately, it's under attack. independenttechresearch.org/citr-report-...
