Literally hysterical. Breaking up is hard to do. 🎶
So then Elon goes "Kill the Bill!" and Trump goes "Elon has TDS!" so Elon goes "I'm the reason Trump won!" so Trump goes "we waste billions on Elon!" so Elon goes "Epstein!" and a corpulent flunkie goes "Deport Elon!" and Elon goes "Impeach!"

And THAT'S why women are too emotional to be President.

Subscribing to a few mags once again. What was once assumed is now a luxury.

Evidence of the OG and “only”Vietnamese restaurant in America (on the UWS in NYC in the early 1960s). Discovered in NC Hien’s (my Vietnamese dad) memorabilia. At the time, not many Vietnamese folks were in the US. (NC Hien the Daddy-O was OG, too, I guess!)

“[Hurts]’s incredibly clutch. He knows what correlates with winning. Sometimes it’s through the ground game. Sometimes it’s through the passing game. You’ve got to be able to do both… He has the clutch gene,” said Eagles’ Lurie—NYT

Clutch. Great quality! But can’t it be developed or is it genetic?

It’s really fun figuring out how to say “Are you f-ing kidding me?” in polite words that don’t inflame a tricky situation.

In light of the horrifying revelations about the junior RFK, hard not to think about the senior RFK who, as a NYS senator at age 40 (2 years before his assassination), warmly welcomed my father in as a citizen. The last lines of his letter especially illuminate some pitiful changes over 60 years.

Just hit me why AOC is so good and brilliant at being the adult in the room with all the trashy losers making terrible choices around her. She used to be a bartender.

The rational “toolness” of generative AI really needs to be made transparent and emphasized. But magical thingness is always pretty seductive.
Quite the indictment of AI products: they are more appealing to people who don't understand how they work and see them as magical

The paper concludes: "businesses may benefit from targeting those with lower AI literacy" and "maintaining an aura of magic around AI" ✨

Discovered that a mouse gnawed the tiny plastic whisk of our new frother. (Wouldn’t it be great if they just ate useless plastic?) Add to that, the ongoing moth invasion of our kitchen pantry.

Just a few tiny incontrovertible household examples of how humans won’t be the winners in the long game.

Most every bungled soup can be resurrected by adding water, a splash of heavy cream (or a pat of butter), and a some tasty garnish.

Just fixed an underwhelming carrot soup by turning it creamy, topping it with toasted pepitas.

At the very least, a fun garnish is a lovely palate distraction.

David Lynch’s portraits and sayings are filling every news feed on every platform I’m on. It’s sort of Lynchian. As if he planned this one last absurd scroll. RIP #davidlynch

The truth is an easy victim to sof(a)istry!

“Most people go through life with a whole world of beliefs that have no sort of rational justification. People’s opinions are mainly designed to make them feel comfortable; truth, for most people is a secondary consideration.” —Bertrand Russell
