Those Visas are generally reserved for people in the performing arts. Actors, artists, musicians. They are also used for people who work in a field that is in incredibly high demand. A guy in my neighborhood is a chemist who came to the US on an EB-1

Yeah, that's what I'm saying exactly. This was a shit judgement call. he needs to get a trust manager that is more scrupulous.
November 11, 2025 at 11:07 PM
A lot of time people handling investments tied to trust funds are given a lot of leeway with what they can and can not do. There are plenty of people who manage stuff like this that are licensed fiduciaries and would respect a "Do not trade these" list if they were given one.

But he was not actually making the transactions. The amounts were also relatively small compared to some politicians. I still don't like it. If he wants his kids to have a nice amount in trust for them, he should divest the Palantir and put it into precious metals.
November 11, 2025 at 9:23 PM
I don't like Palantir. But I do understand that the Palantir transactions were actually made by whoever is handling the trust he has set up for his children. And we don't know if the person handling the trust's transactions has specific instructions in that regard. I don't like this one bit.

50% of the time is far better than Schumer's 0% of the time. There is never going to be a 100% perfect person to step to the front. Khanna has supported and sponsored some good policy in the past, and actually looks into policies that negatively affect his constituents. We could do far worse.

I have been in the business for 20 years now, and I still deal with this. They just go right to spam.

OMG, yes. I heard FDA and hormones from upstairs and automatically thought the worst.
November 11, 2025 at 1:14 AM
The FDA doing this now is kinda like a broken clock being correct twice a day, I guess.

For many women, even ones at an increased risk of stroke, HRT in patch form, or other topical treatments that are absorbed through the skin lower that risk. The stroke risk comes from oral HRT, which is processed via the liver. Topical estrogen absorbs through the skin and bypasses the liver.
November 11, 2025 at 12:46 AM
And as it turns out, for 98% of women, HRT is very safe. If you go through menopause early, it's even recommended. The study that made everything look so harmful had participants that were only above 60, so the demographic skewed higher towards strokes, blood clots, etc.

Many qualified healthcare providers have been pushing to have the warning label removed for some time now. The warning labels were put on the medication because of a faulty study done in 2002. NYT wrote an article on this:

Women Have Been Misled About Menopause (Published 2023)

They absolutely do....But this way they see the info directly and it streamlines the process. 5calls is a great resource, but the more platforms it goes out across, the more people see it.

13 years of Catholic School taught me that almost 100% of nuns are wonderful ladies who Do. Not. Play. Personality wise, they are a very long fuse attached to a thermo-nuclear ICBM.
