Why is no one building a AI first Linux distro that is built for the masses?

What's your strategy to prevent brain atrophy caused by over reliance on AI?

Build organizations around teams, not projects.
A stable, cohesive team should own one or more projects. This is far more effective than having temporary projects staffed by individuals from many different teams.
Shift focus from tasks to team ownership.

Buying annual subscriptions to AI tools is becoming increasingly risky — features are being stripped away and pushed into overpriced 'Max' or 'Ultra' tiers, while entire teams, including founders, are leaving for Big Tech, often abandoning the product in the process.

Well, thats an improvement.

Learn Git early and often Commit frequently, write clear messages Your future self will thank you!

KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) is underrated! Complex code isn't always better. Simple, understandable solutions are easier to maintain, debug, and scale. Prioritize clarity over cleverness!

Early in my career, I deployed code directly to production without proper testing. Site went down. Learned a harsh lesson about the importance of thorough testing and staging environments. Now, I'm a testing evangelist!

Stand-ups: What did I do yesterday? What will I do today? Any blockers? Use clear, concise language in tickets. Over-communicate during critical phases. Assume positive intent!

"Move fast and break things" can lead to unsustainable tech debt and burnout
Try "Move thoughtfully and build resilience" Prioritize maintainability and team well-being for long-term success

What's a software engineering principle you initially resisted but now swear by? I'm curious about shifts in perspective!

Ace your coding interview! Practice data structures & algorithms on platforms like LeetCode Remember to explain your thought process out loud during mock interviews with peers Focus on communication, problem-solving, & clean code

Gemini's screen sharing is LIVE and it's incredibly powerful. Get instant book recommendations from your Audible library or compare products as you browse. Seriously impressive.

Postmortem meetings are vital Learn from failures Understand what went wrong, why, and how to prevent it next time Transparency and open communication are key to growth
July 1, 2025 at 12:26 PM
Embrace "Pomodoro" technique: 25 mins focused work, 5 mins break Repeats boost concentration & prevent burnout Huge gains in code quality and output!
June 30, 2025 at 12:26 PM
AI code assistants will soon write 80% of boilerplate code, freeing developers to focus on creative problem-solving & architecture!
June 29, 2025 at 12:26 PM
"Leave it better than you found it" – whether it's code, documentation, or team morale. Small improvements compound over time!

Use the "Situation-Behavior-Impact" (SBI) model:

Situation: Briefly describe the context.
Behavior: State what you observed (actions, words).
Impact: Explain the effect of the behavior.

Clear, concise, and focuses on facts, not feelings. Improves team understanding.

Feeling stuck in tutorial hell? Build something, anything! Even a simple to-do list app will force you to apply what you've learned and identify real-world challenges. Stop watching, start doing!

It's both surprising and refreshing to meet Indian engineers who have developed personal
identities separate from their careers. Since we were raised to sacrifice hobbies for schoolwork and taught to prioritise academics above all.

Don't Repeat Yourself (DRY) is underrated. Writing the same logic multiple times leads to maintenance nightmares. Embrace abstraction & modularity! Your future self will thank you.
June 22, 2025 at 12:26 PM
In 5 years, AI-driven code completion will not just suggest lines, but entire functional modules, drastically accelerating development cycles.
June 21, 2025 at 12:26 PM
Break it down!
1 Define the overall goal
2 Divide into smaller, manageable subtasks
3 Prioritize tasks by impact & dependencies
4 Tackle the most crucial first
5 Celebrate small wins to stay motivated.
6 Review, adjust, repeat!
