Not good enough. It was a flagrantly illegal attack and act of war by the US against a sovereign Nation. Maduro was a brutal and illegitimate dictator, but that does not give the US the right to invade Venezuela.

The problem is that the EU still pretends to care about international law and the rules based world order. If it was completely dropping the mask and admitting to only care about power politics, it would be a different story. This just makes the EU look weak and unprincipled.

This is a flagrant illegal attack by the US on an independent nation. It violates international law.
If you fail to condemn the US’ illegal, destabilizing action, the EU loses all the justification it had to oppose Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Tbh I have very little faith in European leaders doing the right thing. They utterly failed when confronted with Israel’s flagrant crimes, and I expect them to fail here, too, just to be able to continue to suck up to Trump.
I’ll be happy to be proven wrong, though.
