Motivating an RNA research group: Understanding that RNA not only likely sparked life on earth through a primordial RNA World, but also makes us who we are-- Allowing 40 trillion cells in the human body to use the same genome and produce ~200 distinct cell types-- brain, heart, liver, skin cells.

If we are being pushed in this direction of having to abandon our teaching and mentoring of the next generation to lead after us, then US leadership in STEM will be in serious trouble… We ALL need to @standupforscience.bsky.social!
