This signed art card of Corban/Storm (illustrated by Sam White) from The Faithful & the Fallen series is my precious!

Thank you @johngwynneauthor.bsky.social & @tomunro.bsky.social for sending

If you haven’t read this series, please do! Don’t blame me for the emotional trauma though, blame John 🤣

Look at this gorgeous MinaLima edition of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley which is illustrated and includes interactive elements throughout!

This is my first time experiencing a MinaLima edition and I’m so impressed with how well it’s put together, the quality is amazing!

Another sequel I’m so grateful to receive. Thank you Orbit Books

Blood for the Undying Throne by @sung-il-kim.com, translated by @antonhur.com, is the sequel to Blood of the Old Kings.

An epic fantasy with a dragon, necromancy & sorcerers. Can’t wait to continue this wildly fun quest!

I’ve not read the book so can’t say if it’s a good adaptation or not but The Woman in Cabin 10 was a really entertaining mystery thriller film!
October 11, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Happy Book Birthday to @spookypurcell.bsky.social - House of Splinters is out from Bloomsbury books

This is my current read & Purcell has recaptured the unsettling atmosphere within The Bridge Manor, the eeriness of the silent companion figures & mess with our perception of reality! Loving it!
October 9, 2025 at 11:35 AM
For something darker this October Orbit Books new horror imprint Run For It have you covered!

I received The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre by @pfracassi.bsky.social & The Feeding by @anthonyryan.bsky.social

I think both will scare the shit out of me & I’m looking forward to it 🤣🤣
October 8, 2025 at 1:26 PM

I just finished watching Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue and the first 5 episodes were great! A Lost-esque story that’s really gripping.

But that last episode… you really need to switch your brain off to make it make sense! 😅

I’m excited to read these!

If I had not read the books, I think this would’ve been a great film. But I have read and loved them, so this adaptation was a letdown. The British sense of humour from the books was lost, the character nuances were lost, & there were some fundamental changes to the ending. In short, I hated it.😅
September 25, 2025 at 8:48 AM
I’m currently reading The Tower of the Tyrant by @jeremyteg.bsky.social which is a standalone featuring a haunted tower, a sorceress scholar & a mercenary with 4 arms!

I’m also reading The Everlasting by @alixeharrow.bsky.social - which features a Lady Knight & a Historian obsessed with her legacy.
