With some apology to Robert Frost, when two roads diverge in a wood, statistically, there are a lot of people who will go either way. We're weird like that.

I have a thread here that explains how deer, not city planners, are responsible for the path of New York City's Broadway.
The Lenape people used an island they called ''Manahatta" as a shared hunting ground. Footpaths of game & hunters around wetlands and marshes followed a high ridge near the central part of the island called the Wickquasgeck Trail.

The Dutch purchased the island 1624 (from the wrong Lenape, btw)...

Yeah, I recall hand writing with a pencil, but I was forever breaking nubs. Lol. I like the idea of color-coding. Good tip!

The rock structure in the grotto is also constructed, made to resemble basaltic formation found across this region of Germany.

A lovely bit of artistic construction that delights the senses.
