While I see the point and definitely agree that games should always have proper writers for their quests, I cannot even imagine how much money it would cost to get the same kind of interactions I've had in WWM. Yes, sure, the system is nowhere perfect, but imo immersion is already high if you try it

Highly recommend Brandon Sanderson's whole bibliography, if you haven't tried it. And if you decide to go for audiobooks, highly recommend the GraphicAudio versions of his books.

Yeah, same. I've never even played Fortnite nor have I ever been interested in it, outside of their ability to mash several IPs into an arena and not have people flip out. Though I think that says more about "kids these days" than Epic actually achieving something incredible.

True, but have anyone else actually managed to make the billions off of that idea, outside of Fortnite? Zuck managed to lose them, but, unless I'm forgetting someone else, Fortnite is the one that's still printing money while also getting ever-more and ever-bigger collabs, now with full concerts too

It's biggest influence was making BRs THE thing for years. And I think it also influenced every fucking exec to try and make a "metaverse" because Fortnite managed to get all the media collabs in the universe.
In other words, it's been an absolute scourge on the industry, but influence is def there

I had a few bitcoin in 2015, but sold them then, and would've had more of them had I not lost 80% of my lifetime savings on a very bad currency exchange move a few years before that.
So I totally understand any and all regrets over past shitty decisions.

Definitely far from it, on both accounts. But I'm sure that the further we go into the current BS (which we will) the more that thoughtprocess will cement in people's minds, but the people in power on the left will still not let anyone actually good run, so voters will ignore elections once again.

Which is my point. The left government is too corrupt to let someone actually good run in the elections (i.e. Bernie), so they lose. But I'd imagine that getting a post-Trump right person would not stop the country's descent into madness. Choosing any left MIGHT do that, even despite the corruption.

The lefts could win if they just voted out the rights and THEN pushed the left to actually do something useful, once the country is not actively sliding into hell

The sad thing is that all the people that think like you will lose yet another election for the left. Because 100% the candidate that WILL promise that will NOT get to the final stage of elections, and the rights will just win again.

I always hear people say "I wish I could experience this as if it was the first time". I think these videos are just THAT for anyone with enough empathy to relate to someone having that first-time experience.

I blame it on the internet. We're blasted with overstimulation, so a ton of people only look for simpler things in their media. So a complex song/melody/movie/show/game/whateverthehell just overburdens their already-overburdened brain and they start thinking "this is way too much, I don't like it".
