I’m in Georgia, and my power bill jumped by over 100%. It was $210 in May, $430 in July. The AC is at 76 most of the time now, which… sucks. All of it sucks. @georgiapower.bsky.social should be disbanded and its management exiled to a remote rock in the middle of the Atlantic.

I’ve put a small amount of water at the bottom of the pan while cooking the first round of bacon— it renders the fat quickly and then evaporates, so the bacon still gets crisp. It just cuts the time, the bacon tastes the same. Maybe that’s what was meant?
