Unlike global hubs dominated by big corporate landlords, Thessaloniki’s shift is led by smaller investors, intertwined with touristification, short/medium-term rentals and state-led urban regeneration.
In Greece, the mix of debt, foreclosures & austerity created openings for new real-estate actors, from banks and distressed-debt funds to REITs and small developers.
