This, we argue, helps reveal how non/knowledge operates in dynamic ways, situated within specific socio-political contexts, and often in support of the status quo, where deportation continues to be seen as a ‘legal and political common sense’ (Cházaro 2021, 1043), despite its inherent violence

Focusing on fluidity, i.e. co-constitutive processes of non/knowledge, the multitude of actors involved and evolving social-political context, we offer a renewed epistemological and methodological framework for understanding contemporary deportation practices
