A lot of nuance is required when discussing the make up of mouselikes and blanket statements like the one by @imahyperlover.bsky.social can be dangerous and cascade into an avalanche of misinformation.

As one of the people that coined the term:
No, just the sole inclusion of a mouse DOES NOT make it a mouse type (or mouselike) game.
A focus needs to be put on the mice, for example:
- named mouse character
- mechanics include mice
Mice as set dressing or one of many fauna groups does not count!

Honestly, I had super high expectations for the series and somehow they managed to surpass them all by a long shot.
