First time I viewed and played an ophicleide!

Last Sunday, first time in my life played clarinet: ‘Fukushima’ by Frédéric Mathevet (and even ‘sight-read’)) in the frameworks of Les Portes Ouvertes of L‘Autre Musique.
In addition recently I read my first lecture in French — in Jean Monnet University.

I recently became a member of L‘Autre musique, an association of composers and artists in Saint-Étienne and Saint-Chamond. And now I‘m even doing an internship here. On Sep. 13th and 14th, we will be hosting two concerts as part of the Open Doors event at Cyclorama in Saint-Étienne. Waiting for you!

For the first time made a test template in Dorico with Kh Accidentals font signs. All needed signs are here: and all are being played. No workarounds. No symbols substitutions for microtonality. No pitch bend. Input of any accidental for 3 seconds. I'll end this day in tears of happiness.

Some impressions from the IRCAM Workshops, where I presented my GranShaper project. Inspiring people & presentations: from low-level prototyping platforms to Unity sound apps; from interactivity with infants to Manoury patch; from old-school impros on Windows XP to site-specific sound installations.

Tomorrow is a final day of our artistic residency together with Basem Al Ashkar at Château de Goutelas near Boën. We’ll be presenting a new work—half piece, half sound installation—that I’ve written especially for Basem, featuring oud, violin, and electronics. Here are some photos from the process!

Under the Budapest Memorandum, the US, UK, and Russia pledged Ukraine security in exchange for giving up nuclear weapons. Now, likely only the UK will honor its promise. I stand with Ukraine—a country under attack, fighting to survive and keep its freedom. In Russia, freedom is in dire straits.
