I always think about this map and how it probably reflect more the dependence of Polish regional economy on the geographical closeness to Germany, and how types of economic activities reflect on voting preferences, presumably much more than pre-WWI borders.
Interesting observation
Polish election results with pre-First World War border in green. It's been 100 years, another world war, a Cold War, a Holocaust, and revolutionary changes in Eastern Europe, including NATO and EU membership but still the echoes are there.
