It is unclear whether it's shift in policy, but some Iranians online suggested 🇮🇷 feared Trump. Tomorrow Iran marks Quds(Jerusalem)Day holding rallies across country when usually "death to Israel" & "death to America" slogans are chanted. Hard to imagine for 🇮🇷 to drop "Death to 🇺🇸" chant though. 4/4

Today, during a state-organised pro-Palestinian naval rally in the Caspian coastal town of Babolsar in 🇮🇷, a man was heard in a state TV report calling for removing 🇺🇸 placed next to 🇮🇱 and asking to burn only 🇮🇱. The US flag was removed, but another man burnt it anyway, as seen in the video. 3/4

Media outlets pointed out that 🇺🇸 was painted next to 🇮🇱 in similar unveilings last year. It was reported in January that 🇺🇸 was also removed from the floor of Iran's government building. 2/4

...against the dependence on Russia, saying that Tehran's arms supply to Moscow have further complicated its relations with the West. On the other hand, use of Shahed drones in Ukraine gave them some publicity and Iran is reportedly now selling them to some African countries, including Sudan.
