I like reading, riding my bike, playing chess, and learning stuff. Plant parent, Tumblr user from way back.

Leftist from Budapest, Hungary. Yes it sucks.
I've heard mixed reviews, what did you think of it? Is it really one idea, no plot, all vibes?

Receipt: I've read Celestial Bodies by Jokha Alharthi (first novel by an Omani woman to be translated to English [in 2018 wtf])

Lots of trigger warnings but overall enjoyable, societal changes shown through an intergenerational family story.

I just looked up the busiest trams I use (Budapest trams 4 and 6), and apparently they transport 330-350 thousand people on an average weekday. Similar looking trams, same double rails.

4-6 is extremely frequent though, at peak time a tram comes every 2 minutes, and it is packed.

I've been thinking about it since, and concluded that it's a great film. Definitely not an easy one.

Don't expect anything done by the state to keep on working, except if it's done by passionate people. They will be exploited.

Holding an important position will from now on require you to be friends with them, so know the worth of your moral integrity.

Don't lose hope.

Further examples: The Foucault Pendulum by Eco, The Prague Cemetery by Eco, Bunny by Mona Awad, certain short stories from Borges, the Rule of Four by Caldwell and Thomason,

maybe The Secret History by Tartt,

and the Da Vinci Code when I don't feel like using my brain.

This is not about Victorian fears of the "barbarian East" sublimating into Dracula, this is about Underworld.

I've been using one called "I don't care about cookies" on Mozzilla, it sometimes fails to block the scroll lock, but otherwise works.

I'll give the EU the benefit of doubt and say this is probably a battle against websites wanting to force people into allowing all cookies by hiding decline.

You can find browser extensions that hide and autoclick decline on all cookie messages.
