I’m still using it. And I will have to learn how to use the accessories that are supposed to keep the stones even. So far I haven’t noticed any wear in the stones. I bought some nice Japanese knives and they are sharp for a couple months usually. The cheaper knives definitely dull faster.

I got this one a couple years ago. Watched a few videos and did a pretty poor job at first. For me it got better when I pointed the blade towards me and pulled the knife away from me. My wife notices now when it is time to sharpen them again. You should do it.
