Shouldn’t be a controversial. But folks are getting lied to their faces every day & have attention span of a gold fish.

In that world „CEO uses misleading image but his blog post should be judged fairly on its content“ seems like a distant dream & „misinformation“ a harsh term for ppl‘s reaction

Imho, the number of users who misunderstand his tweet due to his profile pic is proof of the OK sign / official condonement. That’s on him, not on the folks reading his tweet in passing.

I say these things as someone who likes coding with AI and does not dislike Sam.

Don’t think that matters. If the CEO of the company building the tool does it, it’s a big „OK“ sign for everyone else, whether he started the trend or not. It also destroys the whole argument that users should use AI responsibly / PS is not illegal but you’re not allowed to violate copyright with it

True - but Sam himself uses a Ghibli-style profile pic.

Miyazaki explicitly said that he doesn’t like AI and afaik Ghibli didn’t enter a partnership with OpenAI for use of copyrighted materials.

I don’t think it’s ok for a CEO to publicly use such a pic under these circumstances.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Was waiting for the db version to get an API try something similar, but maybe I should dust off my MD graph and try this 🤔

Would be nice if @vercel.com would, in addition to the money, give this feature request some love: github.com/vercel/next....

Goals Extract the doctoring logic from next lint and move it to its own independent command (e.g. next doctor) Allow users to lint using their own linters, such as Biome, without wrapping it in a C...

The settings search is so bad. Pulls up all kind of irrelevant results from random nested (app) settings rather than top line defaults.

I was thinking about an experience similar to Obsidian WYSIWYG, you type markdown but it immediately renders. Even if you don’t render immediately, it should be possible to deduct those characters that later move into the facet?

Very interesting read and makes sense from an ATproto perspective…but the bsky client could still easily support turning common markdown syntax into these facets?
