December 4, 2025 at 3:18 AM
80% complete ... just the hat needs to pop. there's a piece on the side missing... and color. Needs color. #procreate is fun.

I owned #procreate for my iPad for nearly a decade... finally trying to learn it. I'm having so much fun.

The not at all final version of a poster I will post for BlackBox's Yule Market... I love drawing and wish I do it more.

A little sketch from several months ago.

Earlier this year, my boss commissioned a sticker from me. No parameters, just some art that we could sell at shows or in the gallery space. It took me months to commit to this... and I'm still shocked/grateful to see the sticker slowly spread to water bottles near me. #sticker

#poetryprompt:

Write about a core memory that hurt you.
(For me: that first school dance in the 6th grade was... abysmal)

Here's my draft:

And credit the #poetryprompt to poet Jared Singer when you finish:

I responded to a friend's story with a #poetryprompt:

What do you bring as offering to the grave of the you that once was? Why?

After the witching hour, a poetry prompt:

#poetryprompt: what qualities of people you admire do you wish you could embody?

My astrology app gives me #poetryprompts. (Write a love song for an unrequited love.)

Rain encourages rumination for me.

#poetryprompt: the memory of a rainstorm through the sounds it created.

#poetryprompt:

A poem for a missed photo at golden hour.

The #greeleywestsideproject is something I've started to follow because it seems weird that this is getting built before local businesses get their plumbing upgraded properly.

#poetryprompt:

"Write a love letter to yourself that you won't open for five years" but as a poem.

#poetryprompt:

I used to read my tarot. I quit for several years because I always think my readings are spot on. I wanted to let life happen for a time.

I read my tarot for the first time in a while a couple weeks ago. Then taught a workshop asking my attendees to draw a card... (1/2)

#earlythoughts:

The parallel irony in the car company called Tesla; the original Tesla, the man, aimed to bring electricity to everyone for free. His work was destroyed or shut down.

Today we pay for a crappy power grid in tandem the eponymous company bought by a billionaire oligarch. Big oof.

A poet that I follow said that they would write poems based on the dictionary word of the day.

#poetryprompt: Astute is Merriam's word for Feb 22.
February 23, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Halfway through Fahrenheit 451 and loving the imagery.

#poetryprompt: take a line (or three) from a book and use it as your first line.

(You can always cut the line or turn it into an epigraph later.)

The world is more obviously terrifying than it has been… I used to write poems about my mental health.

#poetryprompt: how do you feel right now? Is it one emotion or… a cornucopia of intermingling feels?

The sky was the color of an autumn morning today
The wind was fast yet the sun was warm
The clouds like cotton candy wisps

#Poetryprompt: Go outside. Look up.

I hear sirens everywhere I think.
