It turns out if you give people a dossier saying a stranger is your “enemy” you’ll introduce yourself and have a game to play with them - maybe more so than if the dossier says you’re friends.

Folks from my day job, family, clowns and comedians, and immersive creators all mingled and made friends.

There was a lot of goofy business - interrogating and playing with people, designing props and dossiers, wearing a fake mustache - but the systems David designed to get strangers talking to each other were the high point.

We held a reverse murder mystery party, where the deceased’s will stated that whoever murdered him would gain his ridiculous sums of money. Guests competed to convince the detectives (the birthday girl and her husband) that they were guilty.
