They went to Berkeley because it has a history of civil rights protesting. This is probably a false flag operation embedded into a larger protest to make it seem as if the anti-TP protesters are the aggressors.

They wear masks because many of them probably have police records of their own. As long as citizens cannot easily ID them, the public will never know how many convicted of domestic abuse and DUI are currently raking in taxpayer money to terrify innocent people.
