As a local elected official and cybersecurity leader, I’m deeply concerned about federal cuts to election security. CISA has been vital in protecting state & local elections. Key programs are now at risk.

These cuts weaken our defenses and erode public trust.

Election security aid is on the chopping block, rattling local officials
The White House is supposed to decide March 6 whether cuts to election security resources for state and local elections will be permanent.

It’s great to celebrate local progress, especially when things feel out of control nationally. 😊 We officially opened the Mary Ann Cleveland Way Shared-Use Path in Ward 4! This 1.3-mile path connects residents to schools, parks, and shopping, making it safer to walk, bike, and use mobility devices.

Amazing news for #Tucson and our state! Thank you to Senator-elect Gallego and all who worked to ensure these projects are funded. Way to go @cityoftucson.bsky.social Water Department. 👏🏼
Major win for Arizona!

Rep. Gallego secures $80M in federal funding for water projects:

💧 $30M for Tucson’s reclaimed water
💧 $10M for tribal water facilities
💧 $12M for Buckeye flood resilience

This investment means jobs, growth, and a sustainable water future for Arizona families!

As I begin the day and reflect on the many things I’m thankful for this year, I want to express my gratitude to our City of Tucson teammates who are working today to keep our city running smoothly and safely while our community celebrates Thanksgiving.

My favorite part of last night’s Mayor & Council meeting was hearing from Girl Scouts about the problems they want to focus on. All the girls spoke about how to help unsheltered people. The future is bright, friends. 😊
