New partner is taking it upon himself to educate me. Recent films include Terminator, Ghostbusters and the first Indiana Jones.

Em went through a stage of singing that constantly too 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m also trying to do this. It’s hard!

Anyway, this is just shoe gazing introspection following telling all the small people and other relevant parties this weekend. It’s nothing new, but not a situation I’ve been in before, and yeah. It’s awesome and overwhelming and brilliant and terrifying all at once.

I mean, it’s all brilliant too, especially when you’ve known each other as long as we have, and it’s exciting, but I’m not just in a relationship with him, there’s two small boys in the mix, and similarly, I’m coming with a small girl and the kids matter more than anything else to both of us.

Oh, this is AMAZING, thank you! I’m going in entirely blind, partner played a few times in his teens, but the kids have expressed an interest, so here goes nothing I guess 😆

Oh, and trying to figure out how D&D works to try and play a game with all the kids. (Is “play a game” even the right phrasing?! We’re going in utterly blind and will be relying on the beginner’s set Very Heavily.)
