Not much reaction from the crowd at the Sliwa party after the race is called. A few people are staring at the screen in disbelief. In an interview, former Gov. George Pataki preemptively dismissed any criticism that Sliwa was a spoiler candidate who had hurt Cuomo’s chances. “There’s always an excuse,” he said. “But ultimately, my experience is: Look in the mirror.”

Gonna rewatch Moonfall (2022) today because 56 years ago, Apollo 11 touched down and made history as the first time human beings stood on a world beyond our own. (Also because Moonfall is delightfully stupid and I love it)
