Happy Thanksgiving
Photo taking from the passenger in a vehicle on a gravel road in autumn. The leaves on the trees are turning and are now yellow and light green. The sky is clear and there is shade and sun and looked like it had rained recently (because it had). It was a beautiful warm fall day to be driving the backroads in the interior mountains of BC.

Day 13
The Fox and the Pinecone
-practicing textures with pencils
Black and white sketch of a small fox holding a pinecone in it's mouth. I was practicing doing textures, the fur is lots and lots of thin pencil strokes and the tale is big and smudgey strokes to make it look soft and fluffy. The model was a small ornament that I think was made of a hard textured thrush type sticks and faux fur tail.

Day 9

The task was to pick a recognizable face and draw it using the fewest details as possible. This was my attempt, any guesses who it is?

Hint: He's a washed out fibber who was famously fired from his TV announcer job.
Drawn in black pen, it is a close up sketch of a set of eyes, nose and mouth. Using the least detail as I could use and still make it recognizable. It is my rendition of Tucker Carlson.

I have been seeing this new to me event called the #ArtAdventCalendar (Day 2) and it sounds lovely. I will try to add one or two images this year, as I dabble in what is and is not for me on Bsky. This is one of my many quick sketches, I do them while listening to podcasts.
It's a quick black and white sketch done in pencil of a middle aged man's face. The eyes are black orbs with no detail but the rest of the face is angular with strong features and kind of stern looking. We are below the face looking up at it, I think it portrays some inner anguish and regret.

Second snow fall of the season and the crows, of course, found the sunflower we left up. It's fun watching them balance on the top, then do "the little teapot" to reach over to get the seeds. 🌱

It's snowing huge flakes and a crow is sitting on top of a huge sunflower full of seeds that was left in the garden as bird food.
