the stranglehold of sex/gender frees itself just a bit and the collective response to this is to double down. nobody wants to be free, they just want to wear the boot. learned helplessness.

...and developing what seems to be an unnecessary "remake?" of it means this game is in an uphill battle to break that perception that is not helped by its total lack of marketing.

There's no free demo as far as I can tell. I think it was a limited time thing. I've tried and tried to get access to it on my Switch 2 to no avail. But I would hope that the developers understand their perception as the Shovel Knight studio due to working on that game for over five years...
