This was shared with permission of the person who submitted the FOI.The FOI is being taken further, with the appropriate organisations] A recent FOI has revealed that, from June 2024 to June 2025, Sandyford - saw a minimum of 6 patients from the initial waiting list. - saw a maximum of 24 patients from the initial waiting list [This is due to the figure being <5, so 1-4 a month] - took on no new patients from Sep 24 to Feb 25 (6m) - saw 1-4 people from the medical review waiting list (none were from NHS Tayside) At the above rates, it would take “Worse case”, a minimum of 695.5years to clear the waiting list to June 2025 or “Best case”, a minimum of 173yrs to clear the waiting list to June 2025 At present, there are still 26 people to be seen to clear the waiting for Nov 2018. Off the above, it will take 4.3yrs to clear this month if the service only sees 6 a year, or 2.17yrs if they can manage 1 patient a month. This is very rinse/repeat for the following months through the first half of 2019. This doesn’t account for the further wait for the medical review waiting list. At the given rate this would take 70yrs to 281yrs to clear to June 2025. I’m pretty sure this will make Sandyford the worse GIC in the UK frankly, beating the Laurels, and Brackenburn.
