She's stone deaf, considers hand signals to be a foreign language she just can't figure out despite being around deaf dogs her whole life, and has recently decided she needs to shout her excitement at getting ready for a walk at the top of her lungs.

A brief illness revealed that J's kidneys were done 😔 In the end the only thing to do was spare her more suffering. She went very quickly and peacefully, more than ready.
