Life in #Kyiv is surreal. You can do your job, go shopping, or visit doctors, as if nothing is happening. But then everything stops as you hear this music. That means another hero gave up his or her life for you to be able to fool yourself and continue catching last moments of normal life. Listen

I keep hearing that "Ukraine should just negotiate" from many people claiming to be realists. Today, Russia attacked us with 550 drones and missiles, and we could not shoot down 9 ballistic missiles! Putin does not want negotiation; he wants our capitulation. He says that clearly, FFS.

Next week. I was supposed to speak in person, but Canada did not give me a visa. So I will tell Canadians about the war from a war-torn country virtually, hoping our good internet connection won't fail me. My lecture will be about balancing between patriotism and professionalism.
