New review out with @nihr-hprfa-orb.bsky.social

TL;DR: Future outbreaks (e.g., mpox) will keep requiring HCWs to self-isolate after exposure—but we still lack evidence-based interventions to protect their wellbeing. Time to fix that.

📢 New research from The ORB, led by Dr Louise Smith, shows why co-production matters.

By working with poultry farm workers, the team created practical, translated, visual resources on avian flu, PPE, antivirals, and symptom monitoring, now informing national guidance.

Public health messages should use self-explanatory language. If messages use vague words (like 'vulnerable'), people have to fill in the blanks. My research has impacted the language that @ukhsa.bsky.social uses. Here's an article and video all about it! www.kcl.ac.uk/news/spotlig...

New research finds major gaps in global ADHD data.

Most post-2020 studies on prevalence are low quality, only 4 of 40 reviewed were low risk of bias. No clear rise, just unclear data.

Better evidence is urgently needed to guide healthcare decisions.
