I got asked about Scar's daughter in my headcanon where #firefangs grew up together and dated early in life. Here's my take on their story, introducing Scar's sister, Seren. Hope you'll like it ✨

First page of my comic "Nova". It opens with a top view of Scar and Scorch's cabin, where we see lots of details about their projects, painting and mechanics tools. On the desk, there is blueprints for a mobile featuring Aurelion Sol among little stars, as well as a sewing pattern for a bat plush. We can see Scar's hoverboard laid there too, probably needing some fixing. A "Fuck Piltover" vinyl can be seen in their shelf, as well as candles on a skull we can see in Benzo's shop in Arcane. Scorch is making the rounds, worrily carrying their hand to their chin, as Scar comes in asking: "Scorch, where-" his question is cut by a distressed Scorch flipping towards him. "I don't KNOW Scar. Storm was with her!" They look to the side as they continue. "I went out to play with the kids... And when I came back to grab some pencils, they both were gone!" Scar stops and raises his hand to his chest in reflexion. "I don't like this..." A while later, Scorch got back to work. We see them draw with a wooden pencil, which tip is carved in the shape of a small bat. They turn towards the source of sobbing sounds that can be heard near the entry of their home. "Seren! Where have you been?" Scar asks as he rushes to her to support her weight. She is fully pregnant, her right hand on her belly as she puts her weight on Scar's shoulder. She looks pained, has tears in her eyes, and... purple veins all over her body. Her eyes turned purple. Scorch gets close to her, trying to comfort her as they're used to, bringing their hand to her face gently. "Hey..." Before finishing their sentence, Seren violently slaps their hand, her usual softness gone. She stares at them in crispation, her purple eyes glowing as she instinctly shows her teeth. Suddenly, she softens and her gaze turns to terror. "I'm sorry, it's... I-it's Storm... He..." She stutters. "Leave me alone." She concludes, as she almost teleports in her room in a purple dash. Cut to a few days later - Seren is giving birth. Holding on to a sort of hammock to keep a crouched position. Scar sits on a stool behind her, assuring her posture and helping her in her labour. Her explanation of the context is written in a frame: "You know I have been very ill. It was getting worse. Storm and I visited a doc who told us the baby and I were gonna die if we did nothing." The focus switches on Scorch, seen from Scar's perspective. They sit in front of Seren, having their hands ready to welcome Nova. Their look is worried, ears down. "This doc told us about some sort of treatment." Back to a few days before. Seren managed to calm down to explain everything to Scar. We see Scar looking down as he mumbles. "Shimmer..." Seren, hair tied, looks to the side in guilt. Back to the birth, Seren now brings a shimmer vial to her mouth. A frame tells her answer: "It was the only way." She screams in pain as her shimmered veins glow stronger. A week later, Nova already grew a bit of hair. She peacefully rests on Seren's naked chest. Even in her sleep, Seren looks pained. Next we see her breastfeeding, holding her baby very carefully. However, her expression is still very tense - something is off. "I can't take care of her." she seems to say. As she puts Nova to sleep with her bat plush, gently stroking her cheek, her monologue continues. "I feel it's calling me." The Aurelion Sol starry mobile hangs above Nova's bed. Seren's teary eyes look at her with lots of tenderness and sorrow. "The violence. It asks for more". Seren is alone in the dark, hair untied, holding her head nervously. A purple glowy spectre of her shouts as she violently flips to the side, face up, drooling and crying. Her message is revealed to be written on a letter, in cursive writings on a yellow paper. "Please take care of her." Next we see her at the door at night. She took a cape and untied her hair to hide her face more easily, and lays her hand on the door frame. She mournfully glances back inside to see her baby one last time. "You two could take care of me, of Storm, Sly and Sasha. I trust you with her life." Leaving the lair, insect firelights dance one last time for her in a cloud of green trails, reflecting in the mist. "I love you." are the last words written on that letter she left to Scar and Scorch.

Struggles of a Leader - #firefangs #ArcaneSeason2

Scar has taken Ekko's role after his mysterious disappearance, and struggles to balance his views on the complex political situation. Things get stressful, but fortunately for him, he has Scorch to help him cool down and relax.
First page of my short comic "Struggles of a Leader". Scar, the chirean firelight from Arcane, puts his hand on his face as he sighs, visibly worried, if not annoyed. His other hand lies on a table, more precisely on a news article lying there among other things. The newspaper titles "Jinx", and seems to be reporting of the events at the gates, when Isha came to save Zaun's people who were being brutalised by the enforcers. There also is a tagged propaganda poster of Caitlyn. Scorch was the one who tagged it: you can guess it by the presence of Scar drawn over a Chirean lady, holding a gun at Cait's head, surrounded by hearts. They also added flames, raised fists, and the firelights' logo to replace the Kiramman's one. A bit of a letter from Sevika, talking about Vander's statue, can be seen on top of the frame. Scorch is sitting on the table, next to Scar. Seeing his trouble, they softly reach out to their shoulder with a little "hey". Suddenly, Scar turns and melts in their arms, his face finding a refuge in his lover's neck. Scorch is surprised at first - they knew his struggle, but didn't expect such a quick reach for comfort. But as their lover nuzzles his face in their neck, they soften. "I don't know what to do, Scorch" says Scar, as Scorch tells him to sit next to them. "C'mere". The size difference makes it even sweeter: Scar has to bend a lot to be able to rest on Scorch's shoulder. But they seem used to it. Second page of my short comic "Struggles of a Leader". Scar, seen from upclose, begins to rant with a pout. "She killed so many of us." He says, before relaxing the pout, even though his worried frown stays on. "Even Ekko gave up on her. And today, she seems to be the only face to bring Zaun together." Scorch quietly listens to him, their eyes wandering around too as they process their lover's stream of thoughts. For two cases, we see a flashback: Scar in Isha's purple smokes, shielding his face with his arms as he looks up. "It wasn't her, at the gates, I know it." Then we see what he sees: a small caped silhouettes with two long locks of fabric dancing in the wind. Isha. "But even the idea of her is enough to give hope back to people." Back to their cabin, the close-up is now on Scorch, thoughtfully looking at something beneath them. Scar scoffs. "More than our dying tree." Now the focus turns to Scar's hand, holding a leaf of their ginko tree covers with Hextech patterns between his fingers. Third page of my short comic "Struggles of a Leader". Scorch softly took Scar's shoulder to make him stand straight again. They raise their face as a mean of conveying motivation, before saying: "Listen. Ekko isn't here anymore." They bring their hand to Scar's cheek, which they tenderly carress. "It's up to YOU to decide, now." The focus gets back to them, looking sideways with a remorseful look, their pointy ears going down a little. "Besides, he didn't get to see the good she inspires now." We get to see a mural painted in Zaun's streets, where Jinx stands firmly with a flag raised high. She seems resigned, her head looking down and her free hand forming a tight fist. Behind her, various Zaunites seem to act up. All of them are surrounded by light blue clouds, stylised like her tattoos. It is inspired by a tag we see in the show. "I'm sure he'd be proud." Scorch adds. Fourth page of my short comic "Struggles of a Leader". Scar sighs, before nuzzling his face in Scorch's hand, gently grabbing their wrist to make sure it wont go away. He kisses the palm of their hand discretely, without being able to chase the frown away from his face. "You're right." Slowly losening his grasp on Scorch's wrist, he continues. "I'll see if she comes to Sevika's rally tomorrow. With or without her, we have to keep going." Scorch finally smiles a little, as they try to put on a reassuring look. "Yeah, let's do that." They gently move their hand to reach for Scar's nape. With a soft pull, they bring his head close to their face, and Scar doesn't resist much of the pressure they put in. He lowers his head as Scorch reaches for his forehead with their lips. "It'll be alright." They say before landing a reassuring kiss.
